Installation Bolt Stop Bumper Buffer
This is a semi-permanent
installation. It should stay in while shooting your gun, but can be removed whenever you choose. There should be
no need to remove the BOLT STOP BUMPER from your AK for your regular routine maintenance. The Mini 14/30, SKS
& 10/22 L.R. BOLT STOP BUMPER should easily slip out, if desired.
AK or SKS: It is
easy to install! Remove the receiver cover. Use a cleaning solvent that evaporates like, Gun Scrubber,
carburetor cleaner, or brake parts cleaner. Wipe clean the back of the receiver where the carrier slams into it.
Put the BOLT STOP BUMPER there, at the back of the receiver, to see if it fits properly. The BOLT STOP BUMPER
can be trimmed, if needed, with a new, sharp, one-edged razor blade. Please be careful not to cut yourself and
do not remove too much material from the BOLT STOP BUMPER! For your SKS, no glue is needed, if you choose. The
recoil spring will hold your BOLT STOP BUMPER in place. On your AK, you should put on a liberal amount of Super
Glue on the 2 surfaces, back & bottom, of the BOLT STOP BUMPER that will touch the receiver. Wait about 1 or
2 minutes for the glue to start drying before installing. If it dries, that is OK. Just apply more glue again
before you install your BOLT STOP BUMPER. Hold it in place for a few minutes and it should stay there because of
the glue. If you ever have to remove it, it should come off by prying behind it with a screw driver and/or
pulling it off with pliers. CAUTION: Avoid getting rubber dissolving cleaning solvents on the "rubber" BOLT STOP
BUMPER. NOTE: The back of the AK & 10/22 L.R. bolt carriers have sharp edges and will cut into the soft
rubber BOLT STOP BUMPER. This is OK. The carrier will seat itself, but will not cut all the way through and the
elimination of the metal to metal contact and the noise and felt recoil will still be
reduced!

SKS
RUGER 10/22 L.R.: After you remove the stock, simply remove the original
round metal bolt stop. It should slide right out. Your new after-market "Replacement" BOLT STOP BUMPER should
slip right in. A little lubricant will help. The stock will hold it in place. Glue if you want, but not
necessary.

RUGER MIN114/30: My BOLT STOP BUMPER has a hole where the recoil spring
fits into. You can glue it to the front of the magazine well if you have a problem keeping it in place, but in
most cases, it will not be necessary.
